Salvador City Park, The park, officially called Joventino Silva, is located between the neighborhoods of Santa Cruz and Itaigara. Furthermore, you should consider it as an option for taking children. After all, it's a huge space for them to play in contact with nature. Or even invite friends over to practice some physical activities, such as playing ball, training, or even skateboarding.
Therefore, throughout this text I will show you what you can do in the City Park to have fun.
Opening hours
The City Park is open to the public from Tuesday to Sunday. That means that on these days you'll find several food carts and the place will be much busier.
What to do in Salvador City Park?
The park, inaugurated in 1975 and revitalized in 2014, boasts a vast green area. Furthermore, the park helps preserve a significant portion of the Atlantic Forest within its boundaries, covering nearly 725,000 square meters.

For those who enjoy walking, the park offers 4,000 meters of trails. When I went there, I noticed there's a wooded trail. But for safety reasons and to avoid being eaten alive by mosquitoes, I went in for a little while and then came back.
From time to time, the City Park hosts a fair or exhibition. After all, it's an ideal location for that. For children, there's a playground with well-maintained toys.

The amphitheater, which has hosted several shows in the past as part of the Project Sunday in the Park It's still going strong. Who knows, maybe in the future, when the situation allows, shows will start happening there again.

Since the space is huge and covered in grass, it's a great option for those who enjoy picnics. You can relax in the shade, listen to the birdsong, and even do yoga, for example.
Parking details for City Park
The City Park, in addition to not charging for entry, also does not charge for parking. In other words, there is a considerable number of cars available for parking near the park, including the space next to Colabore, which is adjacent to the park.

Therefore, the park is free to enjoy and you can bring anyone you want. And you don't need to make a reservation to access the place.
